Known as one of the most innovative video game designers and directors in the world, Hideo Kojima always had an eye for the visual arts. He started early on in life making movies with his friends, and then moved into the video game development field while studying economics in college. Citing Shigeru Miyamoto's Super Mario Brothers and Yuuji Horri's Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken as inspiration, Kojima decided to pursue a career in video game development. Kojima's most popular creation, Metal Gear Solid, is known not only for being one of the first stealth action games ever created, but also for the post-modernistic digital art that made the series the artistic icon it will forever be remembered as.
