The Cord Gatherer is lightweight and flexible and resembles a telephone cord, which helps to provide good cable retraction. Adjusting the length of the headphone cable is convenient and is accomplished by pulling on one or both ends of the cord and the headphone cable. After the initial set-up, the length of the cable can be quickly adjusted depending on the circumstances of use. Put an end to excess and tangled cable.

Installation
1:
If the diameter of the headset plug is smaller than 6.2 mm, then feed the plug and cable directly through the Cord Gatherer, as shown above.

If the diameter of the headset plug is larger than 6.2 mm or if the headset has an L-shaped plug, pass the cable through the Cord Gatherer by securing the open end of the Cord Gatherer around the cable and twisting and feeding the cable.

Wrap the Cord Gatherer completely around the headphone cable.

Fold the cable in thirds, as shown above, and grasp the headphone cord at the red dot.

Pinching the cable at this spot, slide the headphone cable back through the Cord Gatherer.

When it has passed through for the second time, the cable should look like the example above, with the headphone cable looped through the Cord Gatherer and the headphones and cable jack extending out from opposite sides.

Secure one hook on each of the loops created by feeding the cable through the Cord Gatherer. The loop should pass through the closed section of the hook. Clip the headphone and jack portions of the cable into the top section of each hook to secure the loose cord. The clothing clasp attachment can be installed on the ear side of the headphone cord.
Adjusting the Cord

To extend the length of the cable, unhook the plastic hooks from the single cables (the headphone and jack portions of the cable) on either side of the Cord Gatherer. Gently pull to extend the length and then re-secure the plastic hooks.
To shorten the length of the cable, gently pull the hook attached to the folded section of cable, which is passed through the Cord Gatherer.
